Frequently Asked Questions

WHY USE OWENSBORO PET SITTING?

Your pet remains happy, safe, and secure in their own homes! They are more comfortable and stress free. They maintain a regular feeding, sleeping and exercise schedule. No exposure to illness from other animals. Your pet receives loving personal care and attention. They are not upset by hearing other animals close by them. You and your pet are not inconvenienced about traveling. We also think it is extremely necessary to carry insurance so you and your pets are protected. Most importantly we believe knowledge is power. Are Pet Sitters are CPR and First Aid certified yearly. Pet first aid covers a wide variety of issues, from broken toenails to impaled objects. Appropriately assessing an injury, quickly is a large part of effectively helping out your pet. We learn common issues like GI upset, pet vitals and what is normal so we can tell if something is not. We learn about choking, common poisons, seizures and bloat. Puncture wounds, for instance, can be difficult to locate because the entry wound is small and they're often hidden by fur. Pet CPR is more complicated than human CPR due to the huge variation in body size and structure between different breeds of cats and dogs. We are trained in all this and more.  We certify every year so the information stays fresh in our sitters minds and we stay up to date on new techniques and information. (We are not a vet and can not diagnose any animal.) By Signing our policy page you give us permission to do CPR and First Aid on your animals.
